This article is a summary of some of the most popular arguments in favor of school uniforms. It is important to mention that this article is authored by a citizen of England and not the United States. Apparently the issue of school uniforms is alive in well in other countries as well. The author addresses the suggestions that school uniforms remove discrimination, represents school pride, promote success, and promote discipline.

I am in agreement with all of the author's arguments mentioned for school uniforms. I think that if there is a possibility to improve a child's education, it should be tested and implemented, if it is successful and healthy. I believe school uniforms do remove discrimination based on clothing that can unintentionally divide students by social classes. I think schhol uniforms can create school pride in the same way that uniforms for school sports teams promote unity. I think uniforms take away alot of outside influences and put the focus back on academics. I also believe that uniforms can promote discipline by removing those outside influences and also by allowing a "dress casual" day for those students who earn it by behaving well.
