Poll: D.C. not listening

http://www2.hernandotoday.com/content/2010/feb/25/poll-dc-not-listening/

In this article by the Tampa Tribune, it states that 92% of people responding feel that the government is not listening to them. Both sides, democrats and republicans, blame each other for this.

This is a problem that has been going on for some time now. The health care reform that is being proposed is one that a majortity of Americans polled don't believe we can afford and they are not in favor of it. Yet, it is being predicted that it may be passed anyway.

  1. When is the government really listening to what an individual has to say anyway? They say we are a democracy but our votes in a presidential elections do not really mean much. This is because the electoral college has the deciding vote. Nobody is ever going to be happy with the government, but hey, at least it's no dictatorship.
